The Glitch is Constant

The Glitch is Constant

Just like every other day

the reboot has failed

I’ve examined my insides

but the how-to-fix-things

button remains hidden

I’ve looked to the outside world

for the caring techician

to bring both expert knowledge

and hope

but no such thing exists.

Sometimes I still wonder

who will fix me

even though it’s futile

so I just wait in this state of decay

for the reboot of my soul’s time

or even the reset of eons

to erase humanity for sake of the animals

and trees.

It’s the only hope I have left.

Best advice I can give from my experience is to accept this is the way it is, always has been and always will be, as Greek philosophers like Plato and Socrates predicted 2500 years ago.
We, as each individual, are only on the planet for a short time, so can expect little in an evolution of humanity in the world, but can probably have a little impact.
I looked to nature to escape humanity, but the more I learnt about it, the more I realised it’s not so different. Even some insects, such as ants and termites, have very organised societies and structures.
I’m not religious and supported animal welfare, but I think I still had ‘religious expectations’ of humanity, to be much better and above the rest of nature.
Conversely, I rebelled against the order and structuralism of society.
Now, I don’t worry so much about humanity proving itself, because I just view it in its proper place, amongst nature with the rest of the animal world.
Expect little, Accept reality, Recycle everything.
Keep your EAR to the floor,
write with eyes to the stars! (remembering Stephen Hawking!!)
