Olympics Are Starting!

The Olympics are starting! (Thanks, Host Tokyo!)

I bought a house!

Two things that seemed to be impossible are happening–Olympics and me actually being settled enough to own a home.

(Oh, and I wrote a little story inspired by my grandmother’s boyfriend, Ernie Scribner, who worked at the 1932 Lake Placid Olympics. As the story goes, he laid the flag under the ice of the rink, and escorted Sonia Henie onto the ice, as he was an excellent ice skater. Here’s his memento from that experience:

So, I hope you enjoy the Olympics! If you’re interested in the Olympic-themed book, here’s the link: https://www.amazon.com/Phantom-Games-Dimensions-2020/dp/B08KQP53X2

    1. I watched as much as I could! (I don’t have cable). Hope you enjoyed the opening ceremony and the first event(s)—how was it? My folks know the family of one of the U.S. rowers, so that’s exciting! (thanks for the congrats…wanna help move? *joke*)

      1. I watched bits of the opening ceremony. There were some fun bizzarro spectacles, as expected! Even the UK Olympics opening ceremony a decade ago was kinda bizarre do you know that the Japan ceremony will be even more so 😀

  1. Congrats on the house. I once believed myself to be a homeowner but the truth is, the dogs own the house, and especially the yard, and my name’s on the mortgage.

I don’t do cable either but watched via Amazon Prime.
