I’m going to really try to take my own advice & tips that I laid out in this post. Because I am really stressed. Wish me luck!
In any case, I hope you enjoy your summer. Let me know how you like this post!

I’d heard about the trains just parking like that. And the odor? What a nuisance!

Yeah, one time they were idling for four days straight–around the clock. It’s managed by Union Pacific.

Yeah, I don’t mind pungent scents, but this was something else entirely. I have no idea what it was. It was like poop mixed with decaying, rotting corpses, and left out to sit for a few days in 100+ temps.

You have more than enough challenges where you are – just getting some peace and quiet sounds like reaching for the stars. I hope the situation gets BETTER – couldn’t be much worse!

Good thing we have a particular party trying to roll back things like the Clean Water Act, because if you just don’t worry about or test for contaminants such as high nitrates, then no hay problema … 😬

And here I thought it was just your human neighbors who were dangerous! This sounds like the plot of a horror movie. I’m wondering if the foul odors don’t affect the strays and make them vicious…!!!
Seriously, though, hoping it all works out you get to move sooner rather than later. It sounds like quite literally your health (mental, emotional and physical) depends on it!

Oh my goodness, the aggressive dogs and cats.. That sounds so unsafe! How is this issue not a priority where you live? 😟

That is the question I’ve been asking myself since…2021? Since I moved here… *wry laugh*

You have to get out of that place! Keep wearing masks. I always carry pepper spray. Never had to use it, but still carry it.

I know…I miss autumn and winter so much! Here in Kansas the daylight schedule is really weird…it gets light and dark at weird times of the day…even with the time change. It really throws my whole system off, because it’s so bright, and I’m like “wow, I really slept in” and it’s so early. It’s like broad daylight at an hour that shouldn’t be so sunny.

My favourite tip from the post was the hanging fabric strips on everything one. It’s a Bulgarian tradition in spring to tie a special red and white patterned string to the first tree you see blooming. It’s really fun to participate in.
