On [Not] Labouring Away…

Tomorrow’s Labor/Labour Day, which for us in the U.S. and Canada, we take a day off work in honour of the labour rights movement and unions and such.

Although I’m usually a very industrious worker bee, lately I’ve just been feeling less than motivated to do, well, anything.

And my circumstances have changed, and I really need to hustle to find a source of income, so I can’t really afford to slack off.

But if there was ever an argument against not working, I’d say it’s my mock horoscopes for September, for sure!

Here’s my tarot card reading for September, over at Horror Tree, if you need some more inspiration for the coming times. https://horrortree.com/september-2022-tarot-cards-forplanning-really/

  1. Well this horrorscope for me (Libra) is right on target. I’ve been as day-dreamy as humanly possible lately…..my age is catching up to me and as fast as I run away from it, it keeps catching up. Good luck in the search for something not too “labor intensive” !!

    Hugs, Pam

    1. Thank you! I’ll contract with you for a house in the (fictional) post-apocalyptic era–does a case of TP and three bags of beans sound fair? Ha! (I’m on the cusp of Virgo and Libra, so, yes, feeling the day-dreamy side emerge more and more lately!)

  2. We’re doing family stuff on Labor Day, but I’m taking my notebook along to think about the next scenes in The Tale of the Drakanox. Slack time is pretty important for letting the imagination roam freely.

      1. I can see the headlines now: “Kansas Feels the Heat of Climate Change: Whole State is Ablaze!” Ha! (I hope the link came through to your blog post, or at least my attempt to be snarkily funny!)
